Programme Management

In addition to our own grass roots projects, Active Communities Network has undertaken a national programme management role with funding and delivery partners on a number of occasions. The nature of our work means we are perfectly placed to bridge a gap between key strategic funders and stakeholders investing large funding streams, and grass roots organisations across the UK who are perfectly placed to deliver grass roots services, as well as providing a range of financial, training and strategic development services.

The nature of the National Programme Management role usually encompasses some, or all, of the following:
Holding national funding and being responsible for allocation of grants to a number of local delivery partners.

  • Accreditation and training of participants.
  • Staff training and development.
  • Publicity and Communications.
  • Strategic development and direction.
  • Fundraising and sustainability.
  • Stakeholder Management.
  • Reporting and evaluation.

At present Active Communities Network has a national programme management role for the nationally acclaimed Kickz programme, funded by the Premier League and the Metropolitan Police and delivered by Premier League and Football League clubs.

We also currently manage an element of the Home Office funded ‘Choices’ programme, tackling substance misuse and acquisitive crime across the UK.
