New Occupational Standards announced
Tuesday, May 18th, 2010
Active Communities Network and Laureus Sport For Good Foundation have been working with the sector skills councils for Sport (Skills Active) and Youth Justice (Skills For Justice) to develop new occupational standards and an accreditation pathway for project staff using sport to tackle youth crime. Funded as part of the Urban Stars programme, and working closely with partners on projects and from within the sport and crime fields, the occupational standards are now on the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework. Our staff will now be working with First For Sport to develop training materials for the delivery of these standards to the community sports and youth work workforce.
